29 km away from the Airotel Pyrénées campsite (about 35 minutes away by car), Pont d'Espagne is a little piece of paradise to be explored summer or winter during your camping holiday in Luz-Saint-Sauveur.
Pont d'Espagne is a natural site in Hautes-Pyrénées near Cauterets, at an altitude of about 1,500 m. Here you can see some magnificent waterfalls and mountain scenery. From here, you can access the Marcadau valley and the Gaube valley, famous for its lake, on foot or by chairlift. There are numerous hiking trails on offer in the area, helping to give you a new lease of life in a beautiful natural setting, and all near the Vignemale, the highest point in the Pyrenees (3298 metres).
In winter, the site of Pont d'Espagne becomes the playground for fans of Nordic skiing, Alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, tobogganing and snow-shoeing. You can have endless fun skiing down the slopes at your own pace with the snowy pine trees alongside you, as you enjoy the pure mountain air. Pont d'Espagne is also known as the Little Canada.
